Sidney

DOB: April 15, 1995

Breed: Appendix QH

Disposition: Sweet and reserved gentleman

Issues: Cribbing, doesn’t tie

History: Race Hose in Louisiana. Went in one race “Had to send a search party out after him”.

Status: Only turned left and nearly dumped me when I test rode him.  Bought him anyway.  Moved with us to NC in 2000.  Shown jumper, dressage, and eventing for several years.  Currently:  Enjoying his retirement in Efland with his 6 pasturemates.

 

Ripley

DOB:  March 21, 1999

Breed: Appendix QH (the only TB trait are his crappy feet)

Disposition: Prankster

Issues: dipping his hay in his water, not sweating in summer, bucking for fun

History:  was abandoned at a boarding barn and sold for his resulting dept: “REPO JOE”.

Status: Unbroke, sassy, two-year old Chunk.

Currently:  Is trail ridden and shown occasionally, has two fans in summer.

 

Katie

DOB: ? 2002

Breed: gaited something

Disposition: large teddy bear

Issues: allergic to flies

History:  At age 3 weeks, she was being auctioned off with her mother and someone asked if they could be sold separately.  My mom’s hand went up.

Status: Mom and baby came home with us. 

Currently: Rides, but mostly lounges

 

Cassie

DOB: ? 2003

Breed: Paint pony

Disposition: Sassy, but very gentle

Issues: Sunburns, lightning back feet (but no longer kicks us)

History: Adopted from USERL in 2005.  Prior to that, starving in a field with 5 other horse, one was dead.

Status at obtainment:  Slightly halterbroke.

Currently: We’re training her for our daughter to eventually ride.
